Jankar Human Resources Inc. respects the privacy of our client companies and candidates involved in all aspects of our business operations. We are committed to collecting, using, disclosing and protecting personal information in accordance with the practices and principals as set out by PIPEDA .
Why We Collect Personal Data
In order to provide you with the best personalized service possible, Jankar H. R. will find it necessary to collect personal data. By knowing more about you, Jankar H.R. will be able to maintain our high standard of recruitment and selection services for client companies and candidates.
What Personal Data is Collected
As a candidate, personal information is requested when you contact us to seek employment. We ask applicants for their names, addresses and additional personal information such as work experience, education, skills and references. This information will remain in your personal file along with our interview notes. Candidates will be informed prior to collecting their personal data or as soon as possible after details have been collected.
For Jankar H.R. payroll purposes only “sensitive” information will be required, such as a social insurance number. Jankar H.R. does not ask or recommend that any candidates disclose such sensitive information on their resume when submitted to

When We Disclose Personal Information and to Whom
In the course of providing our full recruitment and selection services, Jankar H.R. may share information with our affiliates, partners, contractors or suppliers. However, we only disclose limited information as required for the function that will be performed by the company on our behalf. We also ensure that every contract we enter into with a company clearly outlines their obligation to protect your personal information and live up to the principles of PIPEDA
Examples of companies we may share a candidate’s limited personal information with include:
- Organizations that perform background checks including criminal, educational and credit checks as required by the hiring employer.
- Employee testing/evaluation centers
Jankar H.R. will send the personal data of our candidates and temporary employees to Jankar H.R. clients who have an appropriate employment opportunity, well suited to the candidate’s skills and abilities. We will only provide information required and requested for a client company to make an informed decision regarding a potential employee.
A candidate’s personal information is never traded, sold or leased by us to any external companies. Your information is only disclosed for Jankar H.R.’s legitimate business purposes or as required to meet legal and regulatory requirements. |

Consent
All individuals will be advised of the purposes for which the information is being collected, used or disclosed. Jankar H.R. will obtain the consent of the individual prior to collecting, using or disclosing their personal information, except as required by law.
How Long is your Information Retained?
Personal information is retained for as long as we are offering placement and Human Resources Consulting Services to you or longer if required by law. For Permanent Placements, we retain personal information for seven years after a permanent employment position has been accepted.
Security
All Jankar H.R. employees take reasonable precautions to ensure that personal information remains safe from loss, unauthorized access or use, modification or disclosure. Steps taken to protect confidential and personal information include:
- Secure Premises where information is located
- Restricted physical file access to personal information
- Technological security such as security software, passwords and firewalls to prevent hacking or unauthorized computer access.
Access and Accuracy
Jankar H.R. relies on the information provided by potential candidates, as well as third parties such as those providing references, educational and background checks. Jankar H.R. is pleased to answer any questions a candidate may have regarding the collection and maintenance of personal information. You may at any time make a written request for access to your personal information which will be provided within 30 days after the written request is received, providing your file is active, except as required by law. Detailed archived information may take additional time and may be subject to a
disbursement fee.
